IT Requirements
WriteOnline works on computers running one of
the following:
Windows: 2000, XP, Vista
Mac: 10.5 (Leopard)
We recommend a minimum of 256MB RAM (modern computers usually have more).
Subnotebook computers running Linux
WriteOnline is fully compatible with the RM Minibook/Asus Eee.
We have not yet tested other Linux subnotebooks, but we expect no
issues. Ask us for a 14-day trial to test it for yourself!
WriteOnline requires Java
- On Windows, Java will be installed
semi-automatically if it is not already installed. We also supply instructions
for rolling Java out across your network should you wish to save download
time.
- On the Mac, Java is already
pre-installed, so no installation is necessary.
- On Linux subnotebooks, it is often
pre-installed (eg on almost all Asus Eee models). Instructions are provided in
case installation is required.
WriteOnline Updates
Any updates happen completely automatically – there are no patches to worry
about – you will always be using the latest version!
